Overview

DomainIntel ("we", "us") provides free, public-facing domain intelligence by aggregating data from open registries and APIs. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

  • Lookups: hostnames you query are logged to power "latest lookups", caching, and abuse prevention. They are public by nature.
  • Account data (optional): if you sign in to use the watchlist, we store your email and the domains you watch.
  • Request metadata: IP address, user agent, and timestamp — used for rate limiting and security.
  • No tracking pixels or third-party advertising cookies.

How we use it

  • Render and cache domain reports.
  • Send watchlist alert emails (only to addresses you registered).
  • Enforce the 60 req/min public API limit and block abuse.
  • Aggregate anonymous stats (e.g. total domains indexed).

Third-party data sources

Lookups call public services (IANA RDAP, registry RDAP, Cloudflare DoH, crt.sh, the Wayback Machine, HackerTarget, and the Lovable AI Gateway). Those services receive the hostname being queried and may log requests under their own policies.

Your rights

You can delete your account and watchlist at any time from your account page. To request removal of a specific lookup record, contact us via the link on the About page.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
